Enhanced Scope and Sequence Plus+
The SOL Enhanced Scope and Sequence PLUS (ESS+) Priority Project created a resource to provide teachers across the state with a tool to deliver SOL-based content area instruction to a diverse population of learners. It is organized by content areas, and can be accessed through the website , T/TAC Online at http://www.ttaconline.org/
ESS+ features:
- Units organized by topics from the original Scope and Sequence
- Essential knowledge and skills from the Standards of Learning Curriculum Framework
- Related Standards of Learning
- Research-based information and links
Sample lesson plans contain:
- Instructional activities
- Sample assessments with accommodations
- Follow-up/Extensions
- Related resources
- Related released SOL test items
Lesson plans and activities are not only aligned with the SOL, but they feature strategies for differentiating instruction in the following areas:
- Technology use
- Multi-sensory options
- Community connections
- Small group learning
- Vocabulary strategies
- Student organization of content
How do I find the SOL Enhanced PLUS lesson plans and activities?
- Go to T/TAC Online: www.ttaconline.org and click on your region on the Virginia map
- Click on the SOL Enhanced tab(at the top)
- Click on Search SOL+ Lessons (left margin)
- At Option 1- choose a subject area and choose a grade/course - click Go
- Click on any SOL standard and click Submit (at bottom of page)
- Choose from the lessons listed for the standard
- Click on Word or PDF format to download lesson
Project Updates
- Science lessons are now up on the T/TAC Online website.
- Math lessons have been updated with the differentiation components and will be posted.
