Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework for designing curricula that enable all individuals to gain knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm for learning. UDL provides rich supports for learning and reduces barriers to the curriculum while maintaining high achievement standards for all. In order to find more information about creating a universally designed for learning classroom and materials please visit the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST) at http://www.cast.org/index.html

AT Assessments

If IEP members consider that AT might be a mean to enhance students’ abilities to meet their educational goals, they could request an AT Assessment. All member of the IEP team, including the family work together to collect information on the student, his/ environment and the task required to improve his/her active participation in the general curriculum.
